A English menu patch for Akuma-kun - Makai no Wana (J).nes

Wow all that hacking and my patch is only 1kb, well I didn't really hack much just changed around hex codes after hacking in an uppercase english font. Oh I forgot this is not a hack it's a translation well not really but anyway. I have to point out the fact that even with this patch you still may have trouble playing this game, it's a very complex RPG that requires loads of information we don't have because we are Americans, but I have played this game over time for about a year and a half in pure Japanese, and mustered enough information to point you around a bit in playing this really unique RPG. First off not paying attention to this readme you'll get nowhere. There is a spell book ICONs are spells that must be combined during battle or outside of battle to fill the pages of the icon book or spell book. check under mixing in game. You can also evoke demons to help you during battle dispel them, cast magic spells or iconcast that is combined spells. you have to have a load of icons though which you can only have 20 of each type, and the ripoff thing is not a pun or joke it charges you 500 gold just to sell you the same icons minus the ripoff option and that is it. Another thing is you'll need the below tip to get you started submited by Akumakun me duh.

When you first start the game, there is a house with two doors and a cave with three doors. The first door of the house is where you would get your password, the second door is the icon shop. The first door of the cave is where you combine icons or check the spell book, In the second door of the cave, you can fight weak monsters to build up your level. The third door of the cave leads to a big blue monster that is will kill you, so don't go in there right away, until you are at least level 3 so that you can summon your allies twice with out running out of CP or courage points to beat him. After beating the blue dragon monster it becomes a clinic where the doc will restore you for 30 gold. Also, if you walk past the cave and keep going, you will enter the rest of the town and the first house you see will let you heal for free. To get back to the cave, walk to the silver pole to the right of the house where you can heal and press up. if you continue walking past the house where you heal in either direction left or right you'll exit to the world map. For the rest you are on your own.

one more tip there are two other towns and each one have a demon that will join you however first you have to vist a single certain cave and get items from treasure boxes there then return to the towns and talk to the demons again did you not talk to them first, ops each demon is inside a building and they are standing inside of it you walk up to them inside the building you'll know when you see them, that is it that is all I know. Good luck you'll need it.

At least your year and a half of playing it will be easier then mine was in pure Japanese. all known shop menu's are in readable english I didn't say understandable but are to the best of my knowledge correct wordings and fitting to the allowed amout of characters. Note that there was no translater so was "cave speak" to english. battle menu is in english though far from complete it will get the job done. it's hard to explain all that was made into english in this game but it looks good from my point of view and there are no bugs. enjoy, and merry chrismas this game will make you hate me, But it will not be because of my patch it is clean and neat.
